Terms of Service
Last updated: [DATE] · Version [VERSION]
These terms govern your use of Workshopmatic (the service), provided by [OPERATOR LEGAL NAME]. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. The service
The service is a hosted workshop-builder platform that helps facilitators plan, run, and follow up on workshops and agile ceremonies, including AI-assisted method suggestions and summaries. We may add, change, or remove features over time. The service is also available as a self-hosted deployment under a separate agreement; these terms cover the hosted version unless stated otherwise.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure.
- You are responsible for activity under your account.
- You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country, to use the service.
- You may register with email and password or with Google sign-in via Firebase Authentication.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Break the law or infringe anyone's rights through your use of the service.
- Upload unlawful, harmful, or infringing content, or content you have no right to share.
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the service.
- Resell or sublicense the service without our written permission.
- Misuse the AI features to generate unlawful or abusive output.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.
4. Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation
- Tiers: the service is offered on a free tier and paid tiers. Current plans and prices are shown on the pricing page.
- Billing: paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe. By subscribing you authorise recurring charges to your payment method until you cancel.
- Renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) at the then-current price.
- Cancellation: you can cancel at any time from your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and you keep access until then.
- Refunds: [REFUND POLICY, e.g. no refunds for partial periods, except where required by law]. Statutory consumer withdrawal rights, where they apply, are not affected.
- Price changes: we may change prices with reasonable notice, effective from your next renewal.
5. Your content and intellectual property
You keep all rights to the content you create or upload (your workshop data). You grant us a limited licence to host, process, and display that content only to operate the service for you, including sending it to our AI sub-processor to generate the outputs you request.
We and our licensors retain all rights to the service itself, including its software, design, and trademarks. These terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service, nothing more.
6. Availability and changes to the service
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, update features, or discontinue parts of the service. We will give reasonable notice of material changes that affect you.
7. Disclaimers
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law. AI-generated suggestions and summaries may be inaccurate or incomplete; you are responsible for reviewing them before relying on them. We do not warrant that the service will meet every requirement or be error-free.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, [OPERATOR LEGAL NAME] is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profit, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the [LIABILITY CAP PERIOD, e.g. 12 months] before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for intent, gross negligence, or injury to life, body, or health.
9. Termination
You may stop using the service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms or if required by law. On termination, your right to use the service ends and we handle your data as set out in the privacy policy.
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING LAW, e.g. the Federal Republic of Germany], excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The place of jurisdiction is [JURISDICTION / COURT LOCATION], to the extent legally permissible. Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence are not affected.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service or the law changes. We will post the new version here and notify you of material changes. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
12. Contact
